Get your money for nothing and the cruise free!

Credit cards have a wide variety of programs available rewards. Points can be used for the airline travel, gift, cash or any kind of merchandise cards.

Select the best rewards card depends on several factors. Key to take into account elements are how you use a card, if there is an annual fee, which rewards points can be used for how many points are obtained by dollar and how many points are needed to obtain a special reward.

Rewards are typically amounting to 1% of the amount you charge. So if you $5,000 a year you could get something like a $50 gift card. Some cards offer higher rewards in things like gas or groceries, or even at all.

I have a Houston auto insurance business. Between business and personal use charge close to 200 K per year on credit cards. My wife and I go on a cruise by Sears premier reward points year Citibank reward card. This card offers today a cruise from $2,000 to 125,000 points. The card is double points for some items as little more than 100 K spent on the card will win this award. This is the best program that we have found to win a free cruise. From Galveston we can go on Carnival or Royal Caribbean one week with the reward of $2000. If we are not in the peak season, will cover an upgrade to a cabin balconies, taxes and gratuity. Or we can get 2 lower cost huts and the reward of $2000 will cover four adults.

Here are some notes about the Sears rewards card:

The reward feature was not standard; We had to ask that he is added. There is a small annual fee. Cruise rewards are available in smaller levels with a percentage of awarding less generous around 1%. The interest rate is high, so it is not a good card to carry a balance. Points will expire in 3 years, so you need to earn 40,000 + points per year to reach 125 points for the free $2,000 cruising K. The program rules may change so searching with Citibank current details. Citibank Security Department has been a problem for us. If we use the card often short of our credit fraud Department (although we shape our limit and have never had any fraud). Then we have to call the customer service, answering the questions of security, transfer to the India fraud department answer security questions once more, answering questions about recent purchases and ask for the card had to return grrrrr.....
